SPRING 2024 T he social club has slowly been going through an update/refurbishment and o!en gets overlooked in the village, but it has so much to o"er. It is home to a variety of teams, including adult, VETS and youth football teams, cricket teams, crib/dominoes teams, and men’s and ladies’ dart teams. Easter celebrations will be organised to run through both the bar and Spencer Hall, and a 24 hour dart marathon is being planned. Other events on o"er include: • Sky TV - all sports shown regularly • Monthly games/quiz nights • Live bands now being booked regularly • Bingo club starting up again • Ra#es and 200 club Smaller events can be booked in the bar and we can always accommodate small parties, wakes/celebrations of life, fun days, company workshops/training days, lunches, a!ernoon teas etc. If you can think of it we can make it work! For larger events, take a look at hiring Spencer Hall next door. It’s a great space that can be used for almost anything: parties, wedding receptions, christenings and wakes/ celebrations of life. These are all catered for with a fully licensed bar. Numerous cultural gatherings have all been welcomed and accommodated. MHJO practice at Spencer Hall every week and hold a fabulous concert open to the public every two months. It also o"ers Line Dancing weekly, contemporary dance classes, regular dog $rst aid and woodcra! workshops. There is also a great outside space and lots of free parking. It really is a hidden gem.
