D id you know that there is a Time Capsule in Jersey Farm Woodland Park by the pond? In 1993 it was installed as a joint community project by St. Albans District Council, Sandridge Parish Council, Major Open Space Preservation Society, International Tree Foundation, Jersey Farm Residents’ Association, Groundwork Hertfordshire and Countryside Management Service. The Mayor at the time, Sheila Burton, placed the Capsule on 28 th November 1993. In the past few weeks it has been cleaned and restored for all to see. www.sandridge-pc.gov.uk 40 AUTUMN 2023
