39 www.sandridge-pc.gov.uk AUTUMN 2023 O ur beautiful 900 plus years old Parish Church is a popular choice for a Wedding Service. It has it all; a friendly vicar to conduct the service, an organ, and a choir for the music and bells to be rung as the happy couple leave the church surrounded by friends and family. In addition are the all important wedding !owers, and St. Leonard’s Flower Guild know how to dress the church for a wedding. So, this year, we are making our annual !ower festival a celebration of Weddings, to which you are all invited. Every window will be dressed for the occasion, as well as the arch and the pew ends. We will also be displaying wedding and bridesmaids dresses and wedding photographs. We launch the weekend on the evening of Friday 6 th October with drinks and nibbles at 6pm. We are then open 10am - 5pm on Saturday 7 th October, and 11am - 4pm on Sunday 8 th October, with refreshments, live entertainment and a beautiful handmade quilt being ra"ed – as well as lots of !owers to admire. All are also invited to the Wedding Breakfast #nale at 5pm on Sunday 8 th October with #zz, cake and toasts! Please do come along and bring your friends. And if you are considering a church wedding, we’d love to meet you. So, future brides and grooms, you are very welcome as this may just be your perfect wedding venue.
