Autumn 2023

35 www.sandridge-pc.gov.uk AUTUMN 2023 A s reported in the Spring 2023 Neighbourhood News, Jersey Farm Residents’ Association (JFRA) held an Extraordinary General Meeting on 15 th November 2022 to decide whether there was any future for a residents’ association. Although a new committee was not formed immediately, the meeting did demonstrate an interest in having an association, and it was resolved to produce a lea!et to relaunch JFRA in 2023. Residents who attended the meeting volunteered to help with delivery of the lea!et to all Jersey Farm households. The lea!et that went out in May 2023 asking for volunteers for the committee and views about what events residents would support, led to a meeting of volunteers on 11 th July, at which a committee was formed. The new committee of 12 residents met on Monday 7 th August, with John Harmsworth elected as Chairman and Paul Craddock as Vice-Chairman. It was decided that the "rst community event would be a litterpick on Sunday 24 th September that hopefully would attract residents to participate and "nd out more about what a residents’ association can contribute to the area. We hope to report on how this event went in the next edition, and to have more information about JFRA in Jersey Farm newsletters and on facebook. Thanks to everyone who helped deliver the Spring Jersey Farm News lea!et and to everyone who sent back a reply form or responded by email. John Harmsworth, JFRA Chairman
